Benedict XVI intervened with Khamenei for the British hostages in Iran

Pope Benedict wrote to the head of the Iranian state, Khamenei, on behalf of the British sailors and marines.  Over 100,000 people were in the Square at St. Peter’s for the Mass and Urbi et Orbi Blessing.
