11 February – Now one of the saddest days of the year
Nine years ago today, during a consistory with Cardinals, Benedict XVI read in Latin the shocking “Declaratio” that he intended to renounce “ministerio Episcopi Romae… the ministry of Bishop of Rome”. Nine years.
I was shocked, shocked, to see Claude Rains as a priest who says Mass as it ought to be said.
