I have deployed to the Middle East that CDL Pizzabella references, and I’m not buying his statement. My experience was that child abuse was rampant, especially against young boys. The prevailing attitude was, “Women are for babies, boys are for fun.”
I come from a Sicilian Family on both sides, same town for generations.
Sicily really has no issue with Child Molesters. They are dealt with immediately and locally and the bodies are never found.
Agreed, _Dan_, one need only look up Bacha b?z? for a referent. While that practice is specific to Afghanistan, each culture in thrall to the crescent moon religion has its variation. But then the Cardinal was speaking specifically of his church, so perhaps that’s a reliable line of demarcation?
