LENTCAzT 2025 – 24: Saturday of the 3rd Week of Lent – Never despair

Today’s Station is S Susanna but it is observed at Santa Maria della Vittoria.   Fr. Troadec talks about the connection of Susanna and the woman taken in adultery.  Sin no more.

  1. VocoVeritas says:

Fr. Z; May God have mercy on me, a sinner. I struggled for years with deep despair after losing everything that was dear to me. I contemplated suicide but did not act as I knew that sin was terrible, so I lived on in despair. Only now, 40 years later, have I found peace knowing that the struggles I endured led me closer to God who alone is my salvation. Deo gratias.

  2. Figaro says:

In today’s Reading, the Vulgate renders the lechers’ lies under mastic and holm as, “Sub schino” … “Sub prino,” and one wonders if the rhyme sounded funny to Roman ears. It would fit well as a gotcha moment in My Cousin Vinnie, Joe Pesci as Daniel.
