You can see where this is going, right?
This is a Bavarian cream bug donut. It is available at the Wisconsin State Fair. My friend spent money to eat this thing. She said it was “very crunchy”. I would TAKE money to eat it. But it would take a lot of money… pic.twitter.com/trqOqKGy5t

Black to move.

And today marks 13 years of activity for the Mars Rover Curiosity! HERE

They’ve upgraded the software so that it is more energy efficient and can multitask. Also, it’s tread is a good shape and it can keep going for a long time yet. It’s an interesting article.

The Bavarian Cream Bug… must be related to the West Tyrolean Custard Beetle.
I wonder how many Bishops and Priests today would lead us in a clandestine Mass? How many people would participate? Covid showed our true colors. So many of us talk a good Catholic faith but how many of us live it.
You could try to give me all the money in the world, but I still wouldn’t eat the bugs…yuck!!
Imple, pater, qoud dixisti, nos tuis juvans precibus…
Thank you for the link to that very interesting article! It is delightful to think of Curiosity going on in new ways – and that its team seems to have been steadily working on that throughout the past 13 years!
I fear I do see where ‘this’ is going, though I also remember novelty chocolate-covered ants and bees from my youth. (Did I really dare bees as well as ants, assuming they were indeed sine aculeo? – my memory is of chocolate-covered crunchy salt.) Perhaps this too has a ‘traditional novelty’ background. Only one adult cicada? – a quick check does not show any 2025 ’17-year’ activity around Milwaukee.
Ok –
Who snapped the photo of the Mars Rover ?
It’s a selfie.
