SSPX made their Jubilee pilgrimage to St. Peter’s Basilica – UPDATED

The SSPX today made their pilgrimage to St. Peter’s Basilica to enter through the Holy Door and gain the indulgence for the Jubilee.

So far I’ve only seen this tweet. I’m certain there will be other images.

My understanding is that they had Mass in a park and then made their way to the Basilica. From the little clips, I heard them singing the same things that we’ve sung both for the Summorum Pontificum and Jubilee pilgrimages.

My joy would be complete were they also to go to The Parish™ for the washing of feet by the Archconfraternity.

UPDATE

This just in.  Those hats.  Really?  You can do better.

Still, I suspect there won’t be anything else like this for the Jubilee.

And not… to The Parish™!

Sooo…. last I knew, official word from Rome was that the SSPX held an irregular canonical status and offered no ministry in the Church. Then, after a jubilee year ended, Pope Francis did not continue extending faculties to hear confession, …yet didn’t refuse them either. Now, it seems we have the Society conducting a pilgrimage procession to St Peter’s Basilica. ..To the Church’s “head parish”.
I’m very weary of trying to make sense of this. I’m tolerably confident the Curia has reasons one way or the other for the Society’s status. I would very much appreciate if Pope Leo would make a decision one way or the other.

[The faculty to hear confessions was indeed extended after the Year of Mercy to this day. Their faculties are BETTER in some ways than those of regular diocesan priests!]

Is there such a thing as a light, white-dwarf summer saturno? And, if not, might there be? In either case, might it be doing better enough for such an occasion?
