Too many people today are without good, strong preaching, to the detriment of all. Share the good stuff.
Was there a GOOD point made in the sermon you heard at your Mass of obligation for the this 9th Sunday after Pentecost? 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time in the Novus Ordo.
Tell about attendance especially for the Traditional Latin Mass.
Any local changes or (hopefully good) news? I know there is a lot of BAD news. How about some good news?
A taste of my thoughts from the other place: HERE

There is no question that the Lord wept. However, He could never have lost the least control over His emotions. Nor did the Blessed Virgin, even at the foot of the Cross. This is a flaw in movie and television depictions of Our Lord and His Mother. I have in mind, for example, in the popular and ongoing series Chosen: the Christ character is far too distraught at Lazarus’ tomb. I’m sure the producers chose to stress His humanity, but they erred. Also, in the Zeffirelli video about Christ, Mary is pretty much unhinged after the Deposition. Nope. Much better was Mary in Mel Gibson’s Passion. But I digress. Back on track.

Father spoke on how we need to respond to God’s visitations in our lives, Holy Communion, Penance, etc or else our Temples may be destroyed as well.
Here is a link to his sermon.

Thank you for your brief Gospel commentary, Fr. Z, on the Lord’s emotions. One emotion I wish was expressed in the Gospels was Jesus’ humor and laughter. He must have had it because he gave it to us!
Not actually about the sermon, but something rather interesting happened after low Mass this morning.
Some of the priests will begin the Immaculate Mary hymn after leaving the altar. The congregation then joins right in and takes over. But the priest today did not do so.
But that did not stop a very young (probably no older than four years) girl from beginning the hymn. It took a moment, but the congregation picked it up.
[“Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” I guess she was fixed on Matthew rather than Luke today.]

A Google search tells me that the director of “The Chosen” defended an “LGBTQ pride” flag on the set. That’s all I need to know about the show.
