And this…
Armenian Catholic Bishop Ignatius Maloyan, who was brutally martyred by the Ottomans for refusing to renounce his faith in Jesus and convert to Islam, declaring, “There is no way I would reject my religion and my Savior, even if they “cut me into pieces,” was canonized by Pope… pic.twitter.com/hIj3Up9p66

Last night.

I think this is self-explanatory.

Get it?

I got it. And I have left overs.

This was spotted tonight on the way home. A massive gathering at the P.za Farnese. And there was another a block in the piazza were I used to live. This is bothersome… no… troublesome.

Chicken leg quarters are an excellent thing.
This is a very happy day for me, because of St. Bartolo Longo, but very specially because of St. Ignatius Maloyan, very dear to me. In the Armenian Catholic Church, it is custom for priests to take a new name upon ordination. This saint was baptized Shrukrallah (meaning, thanks be to God), and chose as his priestly name, Ignatius, after St. Ignatius of Antioch, to whom he was very devoted. Little did he know then that he’d become bishop like his patron saint, and like his patron saint, he’d be dragged away to martyrdom. He was taken with his flock instead of meeting Christians on the way, and celebrated for them a last Eucharist in the desert instead of proclaiming it the medicine of immortality by letter… I’ve been meditating on this all day. Following Christ on the footsteps of the saints. Being centuries apart (2nd century! 20th century!) and yet walking the same walks, with the same purpose, same victory, same reward. How beautiful it is the communion of the saints!
The coat of arms on these canonization banners look less like they’re crowned with a mitre, and instead are crowned with a triregnum that just happens to look like thee I’ll-advised heraldic mitre on modern papal coats of arms.
I approve of the subterfuge.
Interesting scene. I was in the Piazza del Populo yesterday late afternoon and witnessed a similar scene. What do you think is going on?

I have seen people notice the same thing on the coat of arms embroidered on the mitre he wore during vespers at the Australianum the other day.
Father, I was so impressed with the chicken that I tried to recreate the meal from your photo, guessing as to what spices you may have used. It actually turned to be a real winner! Thank you!
Thank you for roasting the complete bird. It did cross my mind that roasting skinless chicken, (a dry and tasteless experience which is common on the left coast) is somewhat analogous to substituting a typical NO Mass for a TLM.
