White to move and mate in 2. How fast are you?

NB: I’ll hold comments with solutions ’till the next day so there won’t be “spoilers” for others.

White to move and mate in 2

    1) Rxf6

The black king, rook and bishop cannot move. The black queen is pinned and must stay on the g file.

    1) … Qxg4 (or any other legal pawn or queen move)
    2) Rf8 mate

    How quick? About a minute.

Question: Barring extraordinary circumstances, does a communicant have the right to receive from a cleric?

Good on the folks in Charlotte. I’m still mystified by the priest’s behavior. Perhaps there is some deeper game that he is playing that I’m unaware of, but on the surface it was perplexing to me.

I hope that Revueltos67 is correct on the chess, since that is what I got.
Regarding priests in dioceses where bishops are suppressing pious practices as well as the TLM, I am reminded of a story, I think about St Martin de Porres, where he disobeyed a superior in order to comfort a poor, ill man. When rebuked for disobedience, he replied, “Forgive me, I did not know that the precept of obedience took precedence over that of charity.” (Or something like that.)

Please continue to pray for the Catholics of Charlotte, N.C., especially seeking the intercession of Our Lady.  Maybe theirs could be one of your “petitions” in your Advent devotion of saying the Christmas Novena of St. Andrew  (Nov. 30 – Dec. 25 – say prayer 15 times a day)?”

“Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, [here mention your request] through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.”
