Meanwhile, Mr. Cricket has a spittle-flecked nutty attacking St. Carlo Acutis, who had a great devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist. Ponder: This guy was one of the inner circle responsible for Taurina cacata….er… Traditionis custodes.

In chessy news… the “Freestyle” scrum is going in on S. Africa.

White to move and mate in 4.

NB: I’ll hold comments with solutions ’till the next day so there won’t be “spoilers” for others.

One last shot of this raving nut-job.

Regarding Grillo: Annnnd – there we have it. Nothing more than an attempt to re-make the Catholic faith in their own image – that’s all it was ever about. Totally unsurprised to see Grillo at it again, but am somewhat surprised that he allowed himself to lose his cool (and on camera) like that. I wonder what was behind the outburst, emotionally speaking. A sharpening sense that the polyester agenda has, at this point, about zero traction with anybody (particularly clergy) under around 55? That must really “get up in his grill(o).”

  2. BTW… One of the toughest players in the “Freestyle” tournament in S. Africa is Javokhir Sindarov, who turns 20 today. He is the same age as this blog.

Beans just confirms once again that the happy progressive is a mythical creature..

Erratum. This was not Beans – it was yet another unhappy progressive. They all sound alike…

Watching Andy’s unhinged rants in those videos…. it’s like, whoa… I’m half-waiting for Max Von Sydow to enter the frame shouting, “I cast you out, unclean spirit!”

My takeaway from the Grillo clips is that this guy is working as hard as Bugnini did to institute the Nova Ecclesia, and to move the ball down the field for the next touchdown. Darn those trads! They just won’t let go!! Neanderthals!

I guess he has to explain it all again to us; how the world is different now, how women are now equal to men in stature and authority, and that patriarchy is an outmoded ‘social construct’ that is long gone (not in Moslem countries, et.al, but I digress…) and is no longer a relevant model for the Church as it was in Jesus’ time (How clever Satan is! He inspired the world to institute a social model that is contrary to God’s model and Church teaching, and then, 60 years later along come churchmen who say the world has changed and we must adapt to the model of the world. Very clever.), and besides that, (Grillo asks) where is anything written in scripture or where does Jesus say “Men only in authority?”

See what he did there? Sola scriptura… And he knows he might get away with that argument because modern, protestantantized, un-catechized Catholics might fall for it. Such a smart man! How conveniently he ignores Tradition AND Magisterium as authentic bases for doctrine.

All this begs the question: Whom exactly does the annihilation of first principals, of fundamental Apostolic doctrines, serve? His side claims it serves non-Catholics, and the goal to bring the world to Christ by removing obstacles to their conversion. Yet at the same time, the current hierarchy never calls anyone to renounce sin and convert. Seems their solution regarding obstacles to conversion is to convert the Church to the doctrines of the world, and not the other way around. And whom does that serve? Not God, that’s for sure.

Their actions are kind of like a mom saying, “Well, my kid throws a tantrum and refuses to eat the healthy foods I serve, but he likes potato chips and Pepsi, so, that’s what I feed him. He seems happier, and it’s sure a relief to me! We get along much better now. Problem solved!”
