I watched this with a lump in my throat.
Quattuor Abhinc Annos! Eternally indebted to John-Paul 2 for this great act alone. When Benedict died, my wife and I had a Mass said for all the members of that commission, Wojtyla, Ratzinger, Gantin, Mayer, Baum, Casaroli, Innocenti, Gagnon and Stickler. I am certain that all of my family still practice the faith because we were Indult kids! I miss John-Paul and his unambiguous clarity on life and ethical issues. In that same vein, thankful he tapped O’Connor for NYC. Sisters of Life, a fruit of his papacy.
