I had the honor of meeting the Cardinal – and two of my sons had the privilege of serving Mass (TLM) for him – several years ago. He was far more outspoken than I expected, but also suitably humble. He has served the Church well – Ad Multos Annos!

Embarrassing to say the least. I am an 18 wheeler truck driver. My job is dangerous, winter and icy roads can be quite scary. Some genuine tough guys do the job. You will be hard pressed to find any of my fellow industry workers being able to tolerate this kind of crap. The McTeigue talks need to be heard by more men. I don’t for one second wonder where the men are at Mass. What’s saddens me is I’m not sure how many people actually care. The Church is regrettably suffering an image, I’ve heard it all in the workplace. Now imagine I shared this video with the same people who spews the disgusting jokes about the Church. Imagine I tried to “evangelize” my fellow man with an eternal soul with this kind of crap. Imagine I was able to convince a guy I work with to come to Mass and this is what we see. Friends, what a stumbling block to all the men of any profession and state in life. Women too. Next time you see a Gordon Food Service or Sysco driver, watch him do his thing, watch how damn hard that is. Then ask yourself, after 60 hours of hustling and HURTING to pay the bills, do you really think he wants to show up to Mass and see a Priest in a cardboard truck? I don’t wonder for one second where the men have gone.

I’m so, so tired of these antics. As a long time Catholic school employee, it pains me to see what the kids are fed as authentic Catholicism. They fully believe that they are there to be entertained, and “Fr. I’m a Cool Dude, Please like Me” is the perpetrator of that mindset.
