Prayer Before Using The Internet HERE
Almighty and eternal God, who created us in Thine image and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the divine person of Thine Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, Bishop and Doctor, during our journeys through the internet we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

What a beautiful picture. One can only imagine what the Great Plains looked like 100-150 years ago.
Father Z,
First – I really appreciate your views on the church, the liturgy, and
other things. Truly catholic priests sometimes seem rare. I read your stuff
often but rarely comment. If you’re ever in western Montana, USA, drop a
line and I’d be happy to take you on a tour of the National Bison Range which
is about 45 minutes from my home. We often see bison, elk, whitetail and mule deer, and sundry other neat things. Maybe you can even say a mass or two while
you’re here. We have an SSPX chapel in Kalispell and an EF mass once a month
near Missoula. Of course we’re a decent drive from both and split our time
between them and the local OF. It seems like the small towns are a long way off from having EF masses. Our local priest thinks he’s too old to learn latin. Keep up the good work.
Have you ever been to Grant’s Farm in St. Louis?
You should see the herd running (behind the fence) along Gravois Road!
Magnificent. God bless the United States of America! I shall try to load some shots from the White Mountains of New Hampshire this weekend. Thanks for all you do, Fr. Zuhlsdorf.
The American Bison: beautiful (from a safe distance) as well as delicious. Father Z, I’d love to see a follow-up photo of you grilling bison burgers.
Someone has to say it, so it might as well be me. I think the subject of that picture is just a load of bull. Lame, I know, but like Bart Simpson says, “Don’t have a cow, man!” Seriously, that’s a great picture, Father, although I don’t think I’d have gotten that close to take it.
Sabine buffalo.
Whoda thunk it?
LETS GO BUFFALO !!!
Is it a Papal Bull?
Although Ted Turner may be the anti-Christ, I gotta give it to him: Ted’s Montana Grill, with a full menu of bison, is my favorite place to eat.
Tasty… btw.
They have bison in the S.F park, unbeknownst to me at the time. During college, my friends and I were driving through the park at night. I had to pee. We pulled over, and I ran to a bush by a fence. As my eyes began to focus to the pitch black, I realized that I was peeing on a bison.
Once in Yellowstone, I was driving, and way down in the valley along the Yellowstone river, I see these humongous dots, unable to make out what they were. They moved, and I stared in wonder. A half mile up the road, there were a few of the herd crossing the road and I realized what I had been looking at. I stopped and in my naivety got fairly close. I got a beautiful black and white photograph. Suddenly, one of the bison turned his head towards me. The one graceful move letting me know to get back in my vehicle.
Too bad that we continue to destroy the environment.
Cool photo. Laid back buffafo. Pretty sky.

I really DO love your blog.
