Just for nice: Roman Lenten images

Roman images.

First, a priest sent a fine photo of a side altar, in use, of SS. Ternità del Pelegrini.

That’s how it’s done.

And then a couple photos from NLM posted by my friend Gregory DiPippo of the Basilica of S. Nicola in Carcere, in which I was ordained a deacon.

    Optime Pater,

    That credit may be properly given where it is due, I do the posting, but the photos in this series (10 posts thus far) were all taken by a parishioner of Trinità dei Pellegrini, Agnese. She has been attended the Station Masses organized by the Vicariate of the Diocese of Rome each evening, and very kindly agreed to share her photos with our readers.

    It should also be noted that Bishop Matteo Zuppi, the auxiliary of Rome who recently celebrated an EF Pontifical at Trinità dei Pellegrini, has personally celebrated quite a number of these evening Station Masses. I think this is an excellent pastoral gesture of taking care of the ancient traditions of our beloved churches and the martyrs in whose honor they were built.
